The facility will focus on common problems in the industry by building up a public service platform for fast innovation design, new technology development and application, as well as experimental technology standards. It will also conduct industry, national and international research. After five years, the base is targeted to achieve breakthrough in industrialized core technologies for 50 projects and realize a production value of RMB 50 billion. Chongqing has an edge in independent R&D and innovation within the digital health sector, having developed the world's first high-intensity focused ultrasound tumor therapy system and Asia's first gastrointestinal capsule endoscopy.
