The system consists of a space-creating device, an expandable fastener with flower petal-shaped retention elements, and an endoscopic curved-needle driver. Investors in the company's 2006 Series A-1 round included Affinity Capital Partners, EDF Ventures, Kaiser-Permanente Ventures, Sapient Capital, and T-Gap Ventures.
